This week, Village Women celebrated the end of this Village Women term as well as having a baby shower for one of our beautiful, expectant SOUL Care mothers.

Village Women is a new initiative of the House of Hope to create community and education for women on a journey of self-discovery.  Every Wednesday morning during the school term, Village Women comes together to learn new skills such as various crafts and cooking, as well as making new friends and being a support system for one another.  Community is so important, as well as the passing down of important life skills which will help these young mums not only survive, but flourish in the future.

SOUL Care mums and children

Many of our SOUL Care mums past and present attended with their little ones.  The children had a great time playing and feeding the horses, chickens and sheep.

The day was also attended by Patty & Eileen as well as some of our lovely Village Women volunteers, Anne and Geraldine, who love working with these young mums and children and find it hugely rewarding.  We are always looking for more volunteers who can help out with both Village Women and SOUL Care.  Please contact Patty on 0434 947 751 if you would like more information on volunteering.

It was such a lovely day, which was beautifully captured in these stunning photographs.  A special thanks to Em Hazeldean and Amanda Viviers who captured these beautiful images for us. Check out their webpages: www.emhazeldean.comwww.amandaviviers.com.
